Targhee Forest

While previous Rogue releases have been inspired by the glamour and grandeur of vintage perfumes and classical styles, Rogue perfumer Manuel Cross considers Targhee Forest to be his first "scent of place," an evocation of a specific location in time and space. That place is the vast, unspoiled beauty of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, and from the first sniff, you can absolutely picture yourself welcoming the dawn among the towering lodgepole pines. The bracing morning freshness of wild sage and crisply aromatic juniper begin to slowly warm with the emergence of sappy fir balsam, balancing earthy vegetation and green oakmoss with sun-warmed, resinous woods. The effect is evocative and naturalistic, but with a certain compositional refinement that fans of Rogue will find satisfyingly sophisticated. Grounding, soothing, and elegant, Targhee Forest is as uniquely special as the wilderness that it takes its name from.
