In time, this crystalline rose turns richer and jammier, saffron working its ‘red gold’ magic with Turkish rose absolute to produce a deeply velvety texture that nonetheless manages, thanks to a powdery iris, to remain sheer and elegant on the skin.
Touches of juicy raspberry, peach, and apple add a light fruitiness to the rose but the focus remains that gorgeous, natural-smelling rose, extended in the basenotes by the salty-woody diffusiveness of ambergris and a big cloud of clean but intimate musks that carry the rose petals aloft like jewels on a pink silk pillow.
