Derviche II

The original Derviche was all about hookah- that famously syrupy, fruit-infused Middle Eastern tobacco amber scent burst off the skin, deliciously sweet and seductively animalic. For the follow-up, Manny Cross set out to reimagine Derviche, keeping mostly the same ingredients but completely reconfiguring the proportions to produce a very different scent. Derviche II is still a beguilingly sweet amber fragrance, but this one has traded its syrup for a vibrant freshness, evident from the blast of tart citrus and invigorating herbaceousness of the dynamic opening. That luscious cherry-tobacco sweetness lives on in the heart, but balanced with a clean, incense-driven sparkling smokiness and a base of amped-up woody notes that feel sexy and sophisticated. Rich and luxurious yet charmingly wearable, Derviche II is our new obsession.
